Prayer

Prayer is a vital part of the life of our congregation.

More than 20 years ago a group of women began meeting in a home every Thursday morning for prayer on behalf of those with prayer concerns. The group now meets at the church at 9:30 a.m. each Thursday.

Also, we maintain a prayer chain which contacts members by telephone when a special need arises and the pastor is asked to activate the prayer chain.

In addition, we list prayer concerns in each Sunday's bulletin.

Fifth Sunday Sing

 

When a month has five Sundays, the Hobart Ministerial Alliance sponsors an ecumenical service of music, praise and worship.

The next Fifth Sunday Sing will be held at 6:00 p.m. August 30 at First Baptist Church.

The offering supports the Ministerial Alliance, which sponsors the Hobart Area Ministerial Food Pantry. A fellowship time will follow the service.
